code of conduct

This code of conduct applies to all spaces where the public information from this database is used, and also to the process of joining the directory. We expect this code of conduct to be honored by everyone who joins and uses the directory.

Be honest.

When creating a profile, please be honest about your eligibility to have one. Fake profiles diminish the initiative. We kindly ask cis-men not to create a profile. Also, please be honest about the information you include in your profile.

Be considerate and respectful.

Please use the information from this database for the purpose it is intended. Do not use the information to bully, harass, or have other exclusionary behavior towards members of the community, neither publicly nor privately.

Harassment and exclusionary behavior include, but are not limited to:

Violent threats or language directed against people that joined the directory.

Sexist, racist, or otherwise discriminatory jokes or comments about people that joined the directory.

Posting sexually explicit or violent material when creating the profile.

Posting (or threatening to post) in not-adequate venues the personal information from people that joined the directory.

Advocating for, or encouraging, any of the above behavior.

This document is an adaptation of the Code of Conduct published within the Github Greenplum project and last refreshed Nov 2017.
